How to Use

  1. Begin by removing the existing outlet cover from your wall.
  2. Take the Permaplug Charger and plug it into the upper power outlet. Ensure it is firmly inserted.
  3. Connect your devices to the Permaplug Charger using the Permaplug Charging Cable(s). Make sure the connections are secure.
  4. Take the Permaplug Outlet Cover and position it directly over the charger and cable(s). Align it with the screw holes on the wall.
  5. Use the provided screws to secure the Permaplug Outlet Cover in place. Tighten them until the cover is firmly attached to the wall.

What’s included with the Permaplug System?

The Permaplug System includes:

  1. The Permaplug Locking Outlet Cover
  2. The Permaplug Dual Fast Charger
  3. One Permaplug Charging Cable (choice of 3 ft, 6 ft, or 10 ft and type: USB C, Lightning, micro USB, etc.)
  4. One replacement screw

Optional add-ons include a security screw set for an added layer of protection and additional charging cables. You can also opt for 4-year unlimited cable replacement protection.

Will it fit my outlets?

The Permaplug 1.0 is designed to fit all standard power outlets. For more information on compatibility, please review the compatibility guide found on the product card images for your desired purchase. My outlet is sideways. Can I still use this product if it is tilted to the side?

Yes! Many customers install on horizontal outlets. Just ensure you have a Standard Outlet, not a Decorator Outlet.

Can this work with the ground up outlet (upside down outlet)?

Yes, the Permaplug Charger Lock 1.0 system can be installed on upside-down outlets as long as they are standard AND the actual receptacle is flipped. In this case, you will be able to install it with the cables facing upwards on the upper power outlet. If the entire power outlet is flipped, the cables would face downwards. Ensure the grounding hole of the remaining outlet is at the lowest point, farthest from Permaplug's larger cavity. The system is designed for installation on the upper outlet of a standard power receptacle.

Is it a fast charger?

Yes, the Permaplug System includes a Dual Fast Charger that supports 20W fast charging.

Does this come with both cords?

No, it comes with one charging cable. You have the option to add a compatible second cable with your order after you add your system to the cart.

What prevents someone from just unscrewing it and taking it?

Well, if someone is too lazy to find their own charger, they're probably too lazy to find a screwdriver, unscrew your cover, and steal your Permaplug charger. However, for added protection, we do offer a security key screw and wrench set that has a specialized bit.

Is this only available in the US, Canada, and Mexico?

Currently, the Permaplug 1.0S model is compatible and available in the US, Canada, and Mexico. We are working on expanding to additional countries with compatible designs, with the UK being our next target market.

Will this work with my own cables?

It's possible, but not guaranteed. The cable needs to have a perfect fit in order to secure properly, and our cables are designed to fit perfectly with the Permaplug system.

Which cable should I choose?

Choose the cable that matches the device you intend to charge most frequently. Options include USB-C for newer Android and Apple devices, Lightning for Apple devices (iPhone 14 and earlier), and micro USB for older devices and accessories.

Is there a warranty?

Yes, there is an unlimited 1-year warranty on all Permaplug systems.

Is there one with two USB-C outputs? I’m only seeing with a USB-C AND USB-A outputs

Currently, the Permaplug Charger Lock comes with one USB-C and one USB-A output. We are continuously working on improving our products, so please stay tuned for future updates and releases that may include a model with two USB-C outputs.
